Looking for a great restaurant in or near downtown Greer, South Carolina? Keep reading for all our favorite spots for brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, and coffee.

There are so many great options for every meal and every person’s taste. My husband and I have been residents of Greer for more than a decade, and we have curated a good list of our favorites.

Great Bay Oyster House

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is one of our favorite date night spots. Especially during the holidays, we like to ask for a table by the window to enjoy the pretty view of downtown Greer. There are so many great entrees that make this a great place to eat even if you aren’t a seafood lover.

WHAT WE ORDER: We have lots of favorites –

  • Trade Street Roll (the picture below is a different roll, but the Trade Street is a local favorite)
  • Wedge Salad
  • Shrimp and Grits
  • Fish and Chips
  • Pecan Crusted Catfish
  • Smothered Chicken (below)

Tipsy Taco

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is a great mid-range Mexican place with something for everyone. We like to eat here for any occasion, whether it’s date night or a large family gathering. They have a large table in a separate room that’s perfect for big parties.

WHAT WE ORDER: Their a la carte taco options are great. I love fish tacos, so the Cabo Wabo is a current favorite. My husband likes his food on the basic side, so he likes the El Grande and orders it without beans.

I also love their quesadillas, nachos, and the queso (add ground beef to make it an entree).

Wild Ace Pizza

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is seriously good pizza. The crust isn’t too thick or too thin. They have a wide variety of pizzas as well as calzones, sandwiches, and soup. It’s a very loud restaurant, so it’s not great for date night if we want to have good conversations. Sometimes we get it to go.

WHAT WE ORDER: We love the Top Ace or a build your own pizza. They have good ranch for dipping – very important!

Bleu Porch Kitchen

WHY I LOVE IT: This is a cute and girly (but not too fancy) place that’s perfect for celebrating a birthday or special occasion.

WHAT I ORDER: Their sandwiches are loaded with delicious components. If there’s something with fried green tomatoes or pimento cheese, that’s what I’m ordering.

They are only open for a few hours each day, so check their Facebook page before you visit.

Paul, trying to fit in with the girly atmosphere. Ha!

I took my parents here for Sunday brunch and we all loved it! My dad is a girl dad, so he’s used to places like this. 🙂

Don’t forget about their catering options. I’ve used Bleu Porch for Thanksgiving and birthday celebrations, ordering sides and desserts to go. Their french silk pie was a big hit for Paul’s birthday.

Flying Fox Coffee

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is easily the best coffee in town. They always have a seasonal menu with really delicious drinks. It’s located in Cartwright Food Hall so there’s always a place to sit and enjoy your coffee.

WHAT I ORDER: I love their iced coffees. They’re not too sweet and always have delicious flavor combos.

Brusters

WHY WE LOVE IT: Although this is a chain and not a local restaurant, it’s our absolute favorite place for ice cream. Located just outside of downtown, we often end up stopping here after we’ve been to a show or concert. Most of the local dessert spots close at 8 but Brusters is open until 11. Their ice cream is made fresh daily and they have a long list of flavors.

WHAT WE ORDER: Paul loves their blasts, which are kind of like blizzards. You can customize whatever mix-ins you want. I usually get a kids cup of something with chocolate. They also have amazing ice cream cakes.

SELECT Restaurant

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is a perfect spot for weekend brunch. The food is delicious, southern, and elevated. We’ve always had great service here. It’s a good idea to make a reservation.

WHAT WE ORDER: It’s hard to pass up their eggs benedict. The side options are all so good and I have a hard time deciding between grits or potatoes.

Blue Ridge Brewing Company

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is another great place for brunch, but their dinner menu is also delicious. Their side options are different and always full of flavor.

WHAT WE ORDER: I don’t have a usual order here, but I always try to order something that works with ketchup. They make their own and it is amazing. You can purchase a bottle to take home with you, which I have done.

They have a rooftop bar and eating area with a great view of downtown Greer.

I hope you’ve found somewhere new to visit in Greer! Did I leave off your favorite Greer spot? Leave a comment and let me know.
